Photo by @TimLaman. Do the Garden Eel dance! These unusual fish are long, thin eels that make holes in the sand where they live. They emerge and sway in unison to the current, watching for passing plankton to feed on. This species, the Cortez Garden Eel, is unique to the Eastern Tropical Pacific region. I photographed it at Coiba Island, Panama, where together with my colleague @ChristianZiegler, I am working on a photo essay to celebrate Coiba National Park and its amazing biodiversity. #Coiba, #Panama, #conservation, @thephotosociety, @iLCP_photographers, @natgeocreative, @TimLaman. by natgeo
