Hoag's Object. This non-typical ring galaxy about 612 million light-years away is made up of a nearly perfect ring of young blue stars circling the yellow nucleus consisting of much older stars. The galaxy is about 100,000 light-years across. [3000 x 2001] (Image Credit: NASA/ESA and Benoit Blanco)
